Former Falcons midfielder, Maureen Mmadu has urged the Nigerian team at the 2015 Women World Cup to go all out, if they hope to beat the Swedes and have a good start.
The Super Falcons have been training in Toronto ahead of their June 8 opener against Sweden in the group D pairings, regard as the ‘group of death’. Mmadu, the highest capped Nigerian female player stated that the Swedes may be good on paper they are beatable.
“The Super Falcons have everything going for them. They can upset the Swedes.
“Nigeria should be aggressive. Stay compact in defending and also attack them very fast when they dispose the Swedes when the Falcons win the ball high on the field,” said Madu who is coaching Sweden.
She urged the Super Falcons to shun all kinds of distractions amidst reports of their kits not getting to them yet.
“The girls should be focused. And we back home must not distracted them with off field issues. They have all it takes to making it out of the group,”said Mmadu.
