By Henry Umoru

ABUJA—FORMER Anambra State governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and member of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Uche Ekwunife, Mr. Chris Azubogu and three other lawmakers elected on the platform of APGA in Anambra State, have written the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Ahmed Muazu, begging for waiver to return to the party.

Other members of the House of Representatives who wrote Muazu include Deputy Chairman, Media and Public Affairs Committee, Victor Afam Ogene; Cyril Egwuatu and the Chairman, House Committee on Culture, Tourism, Pilgrimages and Religious Matters, Chief John Olibie.

The lawmakers in their separate letters obtained by Vanguard, addressed to the PDP national chairman, through  Anambra State chairman of the party, Prince Ken Emeakayi, and copied the leader, South East PDP and National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, attributed their decision to the lingering crisis in APGA and the relative peace that the PDP was witnessing in Anambra State and in the country.
