Someone once defined a robot as any device that makes like easier for man. Though simple, that definition is not far from the truth. While technology that can feed, bathe and study on man’s behalf is still in its developing stages, the washing machine, one of the machines created in 1691 to make life easier for man, is evolving tremendously.

Apart from  replacing the back-breaking manual method of cleaning wears for many families, washing machines are spotting modern innovations that are bringing development into homes.

However, the difference is that when these machines are dysfunctional or substandard, the fatalities far outweigh the gains.

So when LG electronics introduced its new Front load washing machines recently, Glamtech raised the question of quality, but LG said it was ready to stake its market position in defence of standards of its products.

The product features Intelligent Washing System, Auto Balance, Cycle Reserve System and Load detect. There is also a child lock feature for safety of children.

It has a high temperature water wash that eliminates germs, bacteria and allergens.

Auto restart system built into the machine enables washer to resume wash when power fails and returns.

General Manager, Home Appliance Division, LG Electronics, West Africa Operations, Mr. Hyunwoo Jung, said that with a variety of innovative features, such as 6 Motion technology and Direct Drive motors, LG provides more options for getting clothes clean, while being gentle on even the most delicate fabrics. “ Our washing machines have proven time and time again that they are second to none when it comes to performance and value. He said that the front loading washing machines earned top ratings in Spain and Italy for superior performance and efficient operation.  “Spanish consumer title OCU-Compra Maestra and Italian consumer advocacy organization Altro Consumo gave LG washing machine the highest marks in their latest product rankings. In tests carried out for the March edition of Spain’s OCU-Compra Maestro, LG’s front-loading washing machine (Model F10B8NDPA) scored 60 points, earning it the “Mejor del Analisis” (Best Product) award. The machines were rated on their ability in 15 categories, including washing, rinsing, drying, energy efficiency, noise level and convenience.”
