Convener of Great Grace Ministries Int’l Calls for Peace, Protection of Foreign Nationals, and Urgent Government Action

Apostle Edith Grace, the General Overseer of Great Grace Ministries International, popularly known as the Woman of Great Grace, has announced a special welfare and intercessory prayer programme in South Africa over the rising cases of xenophobic attacks targeting Nigerians and other foreign nationals.

The prayer initiative, themed “Peace and Protection for Foreign Nationals”, is scheduled to hold from May 10, 2026, at Randburg, Johannesburg, South Africa. The programme will focus on seeking divine intervention for peace, the safety of Nigerians and other foreigners, healing for victims, and reconciliation between host communities and migrant populations.

Apostle Edith Grace, who is also the founder of National Prayer For Nigeria and Pray For Peace Foundation, strongly condemned the recurring xenophobic attacks.

She urged the South African Government and relevant authorities to “do the needful by taking urgent and decisive steps to halt the attacks, protect lives and property, and ensure justice for all victims.”

“The safety and dignity of Nigerians abroad must be guaranteed. No human being should live in fear because of their nationality,” Apostle Grace stated.

“We are standing in the gap through prayer, but we also appeal to leaders on both sides to uphold the African spirit of brotherhood, unity, and mutual respect.”

Addressing Nigerians living in South Africa and across the continent, she offered words of encouragement:

“Be patient. This season of xenophobic attacks will soon be over. God is raising voices for justice, and peace will be restored.”

The Apostle referenced Exodus 23:9, which says:  “You shall not oppress a stranger, for you know the heart of a stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.”

She also invoked Psalm 91:10:  “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.”

Great Grace Ministries International, a global faith-based organisation with branches across Africa, Europe, North America, and South Africa, is known for its crusades, welfare programmes, humanitarian outreach, and peace-building initiatives.

Members of the public, government officials, community leaders, and the diplomatic corps are invited to participate in the prayer programme.
