The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the August 15 election in Osun State, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), has assured voters that he will not betray their trust if elected.
Oyebamiji gave the assurance on Sunday while engaging members of the Nigerian Society of Professional Tailors in Osogbo.
He said his campaign promises, captured in a seven-point agenda tagged “PROSPER,” would not remain mere rhetoric but would be fully implemented if elected governor.
The APC candidate, who was represented at the meeting by the Chairman of Civic Engagement of the APC Campaign Council, Mr. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, said his programme was designed to address key development challenges in the state.
According to him, the agenda focuses on poverty alleviation, workers’ welfare, job creation, transparency, economic growth, security, education, and infrastructure development.
“I want to assure you again that I will not betray your trust if you give me your votes. I am contesting to serve you with all my strength, and I will not disappoint you,” Oyebamiji said.
He added that the proposals under his action plan were carefully designed to support small and medium-scale enterprises and stimulate economic growth across the state.
Oyebamiji also urged supporters to disregard what he described as negative campaigns against him, insisting that his focus remained on delivering development.
Responding, the Chairman of the association, Mr. Rasheed Balogun, commended Oyebamiji for his engagement with the group and expressed confidence in his capacity to deliver on his promises.
Balogun pledged the support of members of the association for the APC candidate, noting that his past interactions with the group had been positive.
