Hon. Tony Nwobodo has congratulated Dr. Ben Nwoye on his emergence as the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the development as well-deserved.

Nwobodo said Nwoye’s appointment reflects his long-standing commitment to party development and his strong grassroots connections across the southern region. He noted that the former Enugu APC chairman has demonstrated leadership, inclusiveness, and the ability to unify party members—qualities important for the ruling party at this time.

He expressed confidence that Nwoye would strengthen APC structures in the South and mobilize support ahead of future elections, including the 2027 general polls.

“The new deputy national chairman possesses the experience and political network required to reposition the party and restore confidence among stakeholders,” Nwobodo said.

He called on party members to rally behind the new leadership, emphasizing unity, reconciliation, and renewed grassroots engagement to ensure electoral success.

Dr. Ben Nwoye was recently chosen as a consensus candidate for the position during the party’s national convention, with stakeholders highlighting his experience and mobilization capacity.
