Nominations have opened for the 11th edition of the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award (NHEA) to celebrate excellence, innovation, and dedication within Nigeria’s healthcare sector.

For over a decade, NHEA has remained the premier platform for recognizing and celebrating excellence, innovation, and dedication within Nigeria’s healthcare sector.

The 2025 edition billed to hold June 27, 2025, in Lagos, will continue the tradition by honouring outstanding individuals, institutions, and organizations that have made significant contributions to healthcare delivery.

Speaking, Project Director NHEA, Dr. Wale Alabi said: “For over a decade, NHEA has set the standard for healthcare excellence in Nigeria. This year’s theme highlights the power of partnerships in strengthening health systems. We invite the public to nominate outstanding contributors and join us in recognizing healthcare champions.”

The theme of this year is: “Collaborating for Impact: Strengthening Health Systems through the SWAp Approach”

 This year’s theme underscores the importance of multi-sectoral partnerships and coordinated efforts in driving sustainable healthcare improvements. It highlights the collective role of stakeholders across both public and private sectors in strengthening Nigeria’s health system.

He said the nominations are now open and can be submitted online via the website www.nigeriahealthcareawards.com.ng.

He said the nomination period closes at midnight on May 2, 2025.

He encouraged the public to participate by nominating deserving individuals and organisations across various award categories.

He explained that the award categories will feature four major award categories with over 30 subcategories, covering various aspects of the healthcare industry, including: Special Recognition Awards, Healthcare Delivery Services, Biomedical Technology & Innovation, Pharmaceutical Excellence and Health Tech.

 He explained that the new Health Tech category has been introduced to further recognise excellence in healthcare facilities across Nigeria in collaboration with Digital Health Nigeria (DHN).

They are: NHEA-DHN Award for Excellence in Health Tech and NHEA-DHN Emerging Health Tech Startup of the Year.

Speaking, the NHEA Director of Marketing, Communication, and Strategy, Mr Moses Braimah, expressed enthusiasm about this year’s event, stating that: “As we launch NHEA 2025, we are excited to spotlight the remarkable achievements transforming Nigeria’s healthcare sector. With growing investment and innovation, this platform continues to honor those driving excellence.

“We encourage all stakeholders to submit nominations and celebrate industry leaders.”

NHEA is organised by Global Health Project and Resources (GHPR) in collaboration with Anadach Group, USA.
