Rosaline Meurer a.k.a Rosy is staging a comeback to the big screen after taking a long break with the launch of her studio, Rosy Meurer Studios, a platform dedicated to telling meaningful family stories.
The actress made this known on her Instagram page during the week. She noted that the idea came after a period of personal growth away from the spotlight. She also explained that the studio aims to tell fresh stories and set new standards in filmmaking.
Announcing her return to the screen, Meurer said “I took a long break off your screen. Now, I’m back, not the same, but better, stronger, and unstoppable. I promise you will never have to miss me again,” the actress said.
Meurer, who began her career as a model in The Gambia before moving to Nigeria in 2009 to make her acting debut in Emem Isong’s film “Spellbound” said her new journey has been about refining the craft, elevating the standard, and building something far beyond the spotlight.
Her studio launch comes amid growing speculation that she has parted ways with her husband, Olakunle Churchill. The rumours followed the reconciliation of Churchill with Evangelist Tonto Dikeh, which seems to have affected their relationship.
During the week, Churchill said that no legally recognised marriage ever existed between them.
In a lengthy statement shared on his Instagram page, Churchill described such claims as false and urged the public to disregard what he called misinformation.
Rosaline and Churchill got married in 2021 and have two children together. Their relationship began years after Churchill’s former wife, Tonto Dikeh, publicly accused Rosaline in 2017 of being involved in the breakdown of their marriage.
