Dale, Oyor launch KwikPort to expand access to international trade

By Jimoh Babatunde

Entrepreneurs John Dale and Lawrence Oyor have launched KwikPort, a new export infrastructure platform designed to improve access to international trade for African businesses, particularly in Nigeria’s non-oil export sector.

For decades, participation in Nigeria’s export market has depended heavily on access to international buyer networks, long-standing industry relationships, and the ability to coordinate complex logistics. Many capable producers and aggregators have struggled to participate due to limited access to structured demand and scalable entry points.

KwikPort aims to address this gap by building export participation around verified international demand rather than requiring businesses to secure buyers before entering the market. The platform provides access to buyer contracts and a coordinated network of licensed professionals who handle procurement support, documentation, warehousing, logistics, and freight execution.

Under the model, participants can fulfill export contracts according to their supply capacity — whether contributing small volumes or large shipments — making international trade accessible at multiple scales.

John Dale, an award-winning agro consultant with over 15 years’ experience in Nigeria’s export and agricultural value chain, said the initiative was informed by longstanding inefficiencies within traditional export systems. Lawrence Oyor, an international gospel minister and entrepreneur with influence across several countries, partnered with Dale following years of involvement in agricultural and trade initiatives.

Together, they say the platform is designed to redesign export participation in Africa by replacing fragmented coordination and private networks with structured access and embedded expertise.

Through KwikPort, export participants do not need to independently build buyer relationships or coordinate every stage of cross-border trade. Verified contracts are made accessible, licensed third-party operators are integrated into a coordinated ecosystem, and execution is handled by experienced professionals while participants retain visibility and decision-making control.

The initiative seeks to broaden participation in Nigeria’s non-oil export economy by reducing the complexity traditionally associated with international trade while maintaining compliance and professional standards. The KwikPort app is currently available on Android devices.
