Graduate Research Assistant, Moses Oluma, has been awarded the Graduate Student Outstanding Researcher Support Grant under the National RISE (Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System) Project of the Republic of Korea.
The grant is aimed at supporting outstanding graduate students whose research contributions show strong potential for innovation and global impact, particularly in science and technology–driven fields.
Reacting to the award, Oluma described the grant as a significant recognition of his previous research efforts and a motivation to intensify his work in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
According to him, the support goes beyond financial assistance, as it comes with a responsibility to pursue deeper inquiry, rigorous exploration of ideas, and research outcomes that address real-world challenges.
“This recognition encourages me to ask better questions, explore ideas more rigorously, and contribute research that truly matters in the fields of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence,” he said.
Oluma also expressed gratitude to his research advisor for the mentorship and encouragement that have shaped his academic journey and contributed to the achievement.
The National RISE Project is a flagship initiative of the Republic of Korea designed to strengthen university-led innovation, promote regional development, and support cutting-edge research across critical sectors.
