Lagos — A delegation of Nigerian female healthcare leaders is heading to Tanzania to participate in the prestigious WomenLift Health Global Conference, taking place April 6 to 8, 2024.

This powerful group, led by Dr Salma Ibrahim-Anas, SA to the President on Health, will join a global conversation aimed at accelerating progress towards gender equality in healthcare leadership.

The Nigerian delegation comprises a remarkable array of Commissioners for Health, including Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, Commissioner for Health, FCT Abuja; Hajiya Umma Ahmed, Commissioner for Health, Kaduna State; Amina Ahmed El-Imam, Commissioner for Health, Kwara State; Dr. Tomi Coker, Commissioner for Health, Ogun State; Dr. Oluwaserinmi Ajetunmobi, Commissioner for Health, Oyo State; Asabe Balarabe. This conference, hosted by WomenLift Health, is a landmark event designed to address the challenges faced by women in achieving leadership roles within the global healthcare sector.

The Nigerian delegation’s participation facilitated by Women In Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN Global) — underscores the nonprofit’s commitment to amplifying the voices of its female healthcare leaders and fostering a more inclusive healthcare landscape.
