New hole 17 tee box, hole 18 lights, commissioned were among the highlights at the just-ended 20th edition of Egbert Imomoh’s Warri Annual Classic Golf Tournament which held, weekend, at the Ogunu Golf Resort Warri, Delta State.
The Chief host Egbert Imomoh who took the ceremonial tee off commended members of the Golf Resort, sponsors, including ND Western, and all other participants, urging more Nigerians to embrace golfing.
Some dignitaries present include the Ovie of Mosogar Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Sunday Okpurhe, Uduaka 1, Chief Chris Odiete, Chief Executive Officer of ND Western Nigeria Limited, Eberechukwu Oji, amongst others.
In their separate speeches, they poured encomiums on Imomoh, wishing him a happy birthday.
Features at the tournament were Warri golf section men handicap 0-14, Warri golf section ladies, caddies tournament, NNPC Ogunu Golf resort Warri GS men handicap 15-30, veteran men, super vet men and eaglets tournament.
A cocktail party was also held. Awards were presented to the Overall Best Player and winners in the various categories.
