The second edition of the highly anticipated Humour Awards (THA) is here.

And of course, the nomination list includes massive and fast-rising names that have creatively embraced the skill of comedy under the review year (September 2021–July 2022).

This edition has a total of 20 categories, similar to the maiden edition held last year. 13 categories will be open to viewers. The remaining seven are honorary awards that will be decided by the panel of judges headed by the veteran comic content producer Opa Williams.

However, four of the 13 categories made public will be determined by the panel of judges and academy votes. The remaining nine categories are open to the public for voting on THA’s website.

Following the full list released by THA Academy, some comic acts and visuals from conventional and social media channels received nominations.

Leading the nominations are Destalker, the first recipient of the THA standup comedian of the year 2021, Nosa Rex, and Real Warri Pikin, who got three nods each. Basketmouth, Bovi, Osita Iheme, Buchi the comedian, Mr Macaroni, and Mr Funny follow with two nominations each.

Other notable nominees include AY, Toyin Abraham, House of Ajebo, Lasisi Elenu, Ushbebe, pencil comedian, Kenny Blaq, and Kelvinsapp. Regarding that, we also have Nasboi, winner of the Revelation of the Year category for the maiden edition, Carter Efe, Romeo, Shank, Kiekie, Tomama (Datwarrigirl), and Taaooma, among many others, nominated for the Best Online Skit Maker category (male/female).
