BENIN—SECRETARY of Edo State All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Lawrence Olga, yesterday, carpeted the defection of some members of the party, led by former chairman, Ovia North- East Local Government Area chairman, Mrs Lucy Omagbon and her husband, Harrison, saying that the party was not perturbed.
Omagbon was a former State Woman Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, before she defected to the defunct ACN in 2012.
Okha said: “We don’t have Kwakwansia in our party, let them go and meet Kwakwansia and see where Kwakwansia can take them up to. We don’t work with aspirants, we work with the party. There are people that work with aspirants, wherever their aspirants go, that is where they go. At the end of the tunnel, we will know where we are.
“Somebody that wants to die, you cannot hold back. Let them go to Kwakwansia with their red cap, at the end of the tunnel, we will know where we are, we will separate the chaff. But we are very calm, we know where we are going to. As we speak today, we have just one candidate and that is President Muhamadu Buhari, whereas in PDP, they have up to 14 aspirants.”
