ADO-EKITI—GOVERNOR Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State has said Nigerians deserve better than what they are currently getting from the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government.
This is just as Dr. Olapade Agoro emerged the presidential candidate of the National Action Council, NAC, for the 2019 election.
Dankwambo said this in Ado-Ekiti, yesterday, during a meeting with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, delegates from the state that will choose the party’s presidential candidate for the 2019 poll.
Dankwambo, a PDP presidential aspirant, said: “Nigerians were in a hurry for the change in 2015 and fell to cheap and fake promises. We must end insecurity, bring hope to our people and not kill our economy through ineptitude. The presidency is about who has the capacity to lead.”
In his remarks, Governor Ayodele Fayose said PDP members in the state would take a common stand in the coming presidential primaries of the party.
Agoro emerges NAC’s presidential candidate
Meanwhile, Dr. Agoro, who emerged the presidential candidate of NAC for the 2019 election, said the only way for the country to get out of this doldrum and “rudderless leaders” is for eligible voters to use their power to elect visionary leaders next year.
He said this, yesterday, at a well-attended 2018 convention of the party which held in Ibadan.
Agoro, who claimed his party performed well in previous elections said: “Nigeria is in need of a leader that will give us the pride we need as a nation.”
