LET God rule over your marriage at all times while you follow His divine guidance: (Continue)

In the union, the couple should exhibit the following: They must seek God at all times; They must love God at all times;They must obey God at all times.

In Deuteronomy 6:3-5, it is written:”Hear therefore, O Isreal, and observe to do it that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightly as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land floweth with milk and honey.

“Hear, O Isreal: The Lord our God is one LORD. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”

It is the totality of the surrendering of the cou-ple to God in their marria-ge life that will coord-inate the above three ideas mentioned. When this is done, then God would be given a chance to rule over the marriage. He would provide divine guid-ance for the family. When God is allowed to rule over the marriage, then the idea of divorce would be forgotten totally.

The reason for this is that both the man and his woman will only see themselves as one in Christ. Allowing God to rule over marriage breeds an idea of couples living Spirit-filled lives; it engenders peace and har-mony in the home. Being Spirit-filled will cause couples to be mindful of the things of the Lord at all times and to please God by doing His will. Constant and regular fell-owship with God will bring the grace to live a practi-cal and sincere life of up-rightness in the home.

When God rules over a family, taking a clear will reveal that family must have been dwelling in teaching themselves the word of God regularly. It is this Word that keeps on revealing the mind of God regularly. It is this Word that keeps on rev-ealing the mind of God to the couple. Psalm 119:11 says: “Thy word have I hid in mine heart that I might not sin against thee.”

As they store the word of God in their hearts as husband and wife, so also will the fear of God increa-se together with the tend-ency of being submissive to the leadership of God in their marriage. In Psalm 40:8 David declares: “I delight to do thy will. O my God: Yea, thy law is within my heart”.

With this comes increa-se of happiness in their midst, whether there is money or not. Of course, with God they will be satisfied in life as they go about their daily work.

In the home where coup-les allow God to rule over their affairs, they are basi-cally concerned with plea-sing God and being shining examples to others. Again, couples who are bent on pleasing God are hopeful that they will make heaven at the end of it all.

According to the hymn composed by W.C. Martin-”Where He may Lead me I will go”, there is a message so great to the married couples who want God to rule over their marriages.
