Claude Puel remains unsure if Leicester City’s injury crisis will subside in time for the clash against Arsenal on Wednesday.

The City boss was without eight senior players through injury, plus Marc Albrighton through suspension, for Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham, which also saw Vicente Iborra substituted at half-time and Aleksandar Dragovic depart the King Power Stadium with strapping on his shoulder.

Puel admitted he doesn’t know if the situation has ameliorated, with a handful of players set to undergo late assessments to determine their availability to face the Gunners.

Wilfred Ndidi, Matty James, Daniel Amartey, Ben Chilwell and Robert Huth are definitely unavailable, but Kasper Schmeichel, Shinji Okazaki, Danny Simpson and Dragovic could potentially be fit.

Winger Fousseni Diabate is another who’ll need to be assessed after coming down with illness on Monday, but there’s good news for Iborra.
