Anambra poll: Ezeemo will transform state’s common wealth – Ameh, PPA Chair

By Chris Ochayi

ABUJA: National Chairman, Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, Comrade Peter Ameh, said the party has presented a worthy candidate in the person of Chief Godwin Ezeemo, who has the idea of how to develop and transform the common wealth of Anambra State to the benefit of its people.

Chief Ameh, who spoke on the changes of the PPA governorship candidate, Chief Ezeemo wining the November 18, 2017 gubernatorial election, assured that people of Anambra State will feel the impact of good governance in all directions if he (Ezeemo) clinches the ticket.

Comrade Ameh noted that, the party has worked tirelessly to present a credible candidate equipped with brilliant ideas to develop wealth and make the people of Anambra state to have a sense of belonging.

According to Ameh, “We have rejected those who have continued to jump from one party to another in the name of seeking positions, when they will not be ready to develop the state and the people.

“The PPA is a party for prosperity, development and due process and that is what we will bring in Anambra state from November 18.

“We will not bring a man that will deceive you, tell you lie, we will bring a man that has the idea of how to manage the peoples common wealth, develop wealth and make the people of Anambra state to feel the impact of government is all directions.”

On whether the party has war chest to mobilise Anambrians to win the poll, he said, “If you check the antecedent of our party, we have won elections in more than seven states.

“We have grassroots mobilization mechanism that has worked for us very well. There is no general election that has been conducted since 2007 that our party came and participated that we have not won, no matter how low, State Houses of Assembly or House of Representatives, we will win.

“What we have done in Anambra state, it is going to be a pilot scheme even better for other states to follow because as I speak to you, there is no ward in Anambra state that we don’t have an office, there is no local government that we don’t have structure and even the state executives are very active and functional.

“In Anambra State we have been on ground preparing for this election from the day of the last election; you don’t rush into examination hall and say let me remember what the lecturer has said, you must prepare, you must study, you must see the shortcomings that you had in the last election and see how you can now enhance on that, build on that to be successful in the forthcoming election.

“I assure you that we have a strong grassroot presence, we have a lot of programmes we have put in place for mobilization efforts, we have been mobilizing people even before this time and we will intensify this mobilization now that our gubernatorial flag bearer has emerged.”
