Nigerian rapper, Olawale Aremo, aka MCskill ThaPreacher, has joined the league of visionaries advocating a better Nigerian society, by releasing the visuals to his revolutionary song, ‘Man in the Mirror’, a song off his 2016 studio album titled ‘Diary of a Supernatural’, featuring Nigerian soul singer, Freeborn.
Titled after pop legend, Michael Jackson’s classic song, ‘Man in the mirror’, the song focuses on how social transformation can begin with the common man. Musically mirroring the Nigerian society in the song, MCskill preaches that the desired change we all clamour for should begin with the electorate who keep criticizing those at the corridors of power.
With a conscious effort aimed at re-orientating the society, MCskill lyrically condemned corruption, bad leadership, destructive criticism and advised that societal change must begin with the masses.
Without mincing words, ‘Man in the mirror’ is a thought-provoking and politically themed song which portrays the conscious nature of the rapper.
