Governor Ibikunle Amosun has been extolled for establishing the new Ogun State Polytechnic in Ipokia local government of the state.

Commending the state governor, a three-term former member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Abiodun Akinlade, said the set up of the institution in Ipokia, is an indication of the governor’s commitment in ensuring that the Ogun West zone develops in similar degree to the other zones in the state.

Amosun performed the foundation laying ceremony of the Ogun State Polytechnic, situated at Ijaye-Okembo, Ipokia, last week, after the bill to establish the institution was passed by the State House of Assembly and signed into law in March by the governor.

In a statement issued yesterday, Akinlade, who is a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in 2019, said the choice of Ipokia and Ogun West for the new institution by the governor is appropriate and timely, adding that the Amosun has become the architect of a new Ogun State with his giant strides projects spread across the nooks and crannies of the state.
