By Davies Iheamnachor

PORT HARCOURT— WORRIED by the dwindling standard of education and increasing moral decadence in the country, the Director of Kids-Ville Academy, Agip Estate, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Mrs. Tamfiri Dennis-Masi, has called for a declaration of state of emergency in the education sector, describing it as the only panacea to the crisis bedeviling education.

Speaking during the end of the year dinner and award night of the school, Mrs. Dennis-Masi said it was sad to note the present state of the sector and stressed the need for the coming together of all the stakeholders.

According to her, in the past, the country used to be the driving force of the education sector in Africa, but the reverse was now the case.
