How Fela inspires me- Ms Bodega

imageFrom Wizkid to Davido, more artistes are gradually embracing the Afrobeat genre because of its rich melody and African percussions. International Afrobeat singer, Ms Bodega a New Yorker of Israeli descent recently collaborated with dancehall crooner, Timaya in a tune titled Watta.

Watta is an Afrobeat song which is gradually getting airplay on airwaves. The song was inspired by the late Fela’s Water no get enemy.

On how the Afrobeat legend inspires her, Ms Bodega has this to say: “The love and respect I have for Fela triggered my interest in making an Afrobeat song. Fela is known all over the world for Afrobeat and it is only good for me to honour him with this song” she said.

The video of Watta was shot in Nigeria by Unlimited L.A .Ms Bodega is a singer, producer and founder of Bodega World Music
