Lagos—A virile human resource development scheme is essential to developing the full economic value in a society, which makes skills acquisition integral to a nation’s growth.

These were the sentiments expressed by Senator Oluremi Tinubu (APC, Lagos Central), at the graduation of 50 constituents trained in photography, video recording, catering, small chops, mobile phones repair, hairdressing, barbing and smoked fish business in a community-based training scheme organised by her office in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment, NDE.

According to Tinubu, “The Federal Government is passionate about youth empowerment. But the task is for everyone. That is why government should fund and empower NDE so that more of this kind of collaboration will be executed for full economic growth.”
