A section of the popular Ladipo Auto Spare Part Market in Mushin area of Lagos State was yesterday grounded as traders took to the street protesting the reported death of one of their colleagues, Anne Otazi at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, Idi-Araba.

The middle-aged man, who is said to be a native of Imo State and a trader at the Ode-Aladura section of the market, was reportedly attacked last Thursday by hoodlums and some soldiers who allegedly invaded the market.

As news of the death of Otazi filtered into the market, the traders took to the street calling on the authorities to bring the perpetrators to book.

Vanguard gathered that the market was invaded by hoodlums and soldiers allegedly contracted by a family claiming ownership over the land where the market is situated.
