NTI introduces enhanced  Maths, Science programmes

NATIONAL Teachers Institute, NTI, has commenced an enhanced Mathematics and Science teacher training programmes with a view to arresting the failure rate of students at Ordinary Level examinations in Mathematics and Science subjects.

Director-General of the institute, Dr Aminu Ladan Sharehu, who disclosed this while opening a Course Facilitators and Centre Managers Train –the-Trainers workshop, in Kaduna, said that the new programmes were meant to improve the quality of teachers and arrest the fallen standard of education. He said they expect the participants to adequately impact on the students across the country through strategic learning and teaching techniques.

His words, “We at the National Teachers Institute are always proactive and not reactive. We always make sure and do try as much as possible to better teachers’ quality.”
