Lagos—Citizens Liberation Advocacy Initiative, CLAI, has said election rigging in the country is preventing Nigerians from getting quality representation and the dividends of democracy.
National President of CLAI, Adebola Adeniji-Adele, spoke at a National Electoral Summit in Lagos.
While speaking on the theme Ensuring Credible, Free and Fair Elections in Nigeria, Adeniji-Adele urged Nigerians to effect the so much desired change needed to transform the country through their votes.
He said: “We must all unite and protect the collective mandate given to politicians every four years. But positive change cannot be achieved by sitting at home during elections.”
To halt apathy during elections, the group said it had lined up programmes for grassroots mobilization of Nigerians.
