2015: Group urges Jonathan to declare for 2nd term

ABUJA—Ahead of the 2015 general elections, one of the President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign support groups, Friends of Goodluck, FOG, yesterday, called on the President to declare his intension to run for a second term in office.

Director General of the Organisation, Hon. Tom Itua, who announced this at the briefing by the organisation said the call became necessary in view of the sterling achievements and track record of the President in the past four years he had been in office.
He said four years couldn’t have been enough for such a leader who had shown commitment to work and had demonstrated uncommon strides in the areas of infrastructure development such as  road, rail line, aviation, health, security, agriculture, education, power, oil and gas, electoral reform, among others.

He further explained that the group had put in place structures in all 36 states of the country and FCT, Abuja, including 109 senatorial districts, 774 local government areas in the to enable them focus on mobilising the  electorate as soon as the President declares his intention to run for a second term.
