Jonathan tasks envoys on improved ties

ABUJA—PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan, Tuesday, tasked three new ambassadors of Iraq, Finland and Korea to work hard to ensure robust economic relations with Nigeria.

President Jonathan was speaking to Mr. Ali Abbas Banda of Iraq, Ms. Riitta Korpivaara of Finland and Mr. Choi Jong-Hyun, Republic of Korea, three new ambassadors who presented their letters of credence at different audiences in State House, Tuesday.

He said: ”Nigeria wants more trade and investments between our nations, as well as improved bilateral and multilateral relations.”

Responding, the new ambassadors said they were in the country to further strengthen existing relations, especially economic, and pledged to do their best.
