UGHELLI-DEPUTY Governor of Delta State, Prof. Amos Utuama (SAN) has urged Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, members in the Delta Central Senatorial District to close rank to enable them gain grounds in future elections.
Utuama, who made the call at a zonal meeting of Delta Central PDP, weekend, said the poor showing of the party in Delta Central in the January 6 governorship rerun and April general elections was as a result of disunity amongst members.
He charged party members to work towards revamping PDP in the District to forestall poor showing in future elections.
Noting that fractionali-sation and infighting was responsible for the poor performance of the party in the said elections, he observed that Urhobo, as a major stakeholder in the Nigerian project, cannot afford to remain in opposition party.
