Imoke appoints new SSG

Calabar- Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State has appointed Mr. Mike Aniah, former Commissioner for Public Utilities in Donald Duke’s administration, as Secretary to the State Government, SSG.

Mr. Aniah, whose appointment takes effect from September 16, took over from Mr. Fidelis Ugbo, who had been appointed as the Executive Secretary, National Planning Commission, by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Aniah, a lawyer, had held different positions in the state. He served as Commissioner for Education; Northern Senatorial Development Commission, and Public Utilities.

Until his appointment, he was a member of the state Planning Commission in charge of Development Assistance Coordinating Department.

Meanwhile, Governor Imoke has congratulated his former SSG, Ugbo on his appointment.
