LAGOS – Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, yesterday, educates Lagos State residents on voting pattern, lamenting high number of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, voided votes at the previous elections.
He also alleged that the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, was perfecting plans to cause confusion and rig Tuesday’s governorship poll.
Addressing party faithful during his campaign tour and road show at Ifako/Ijaye Local Government Area, Fashola educated the residents especially on how best to cast their vote to avoid being voided.
He added that though he and the ACN had done enough to command peoples’ respect and automatic supports, “but exuberance at the poling units especially wrong voting style may be too dangerous.”
He warned voters to mind how they fold the ballot papers after voting so that the ink with which they thumb printed do not smear other portions with logos of other rival parties.
He also alerted members of the ACN of the move by the rival PDP to rig Tuesday’s election. He asking, “Where are they now? They have gone into hiding as nobody sees them in town again. This is an indication that they are up to something mischievous which may not be too pleasant to all lovers of development and progress.”
Earlier, Ogunnusi identified poor representation and lack of change as the problems hampering development and progress in Ifako/Ijaye federal constituency.
