KANO – President Goodluck Jonathan has declared that the large turn out of PDP supporters during the Wednesday’s rally in Kano was an attestation that the PDP was deep rooted in the state.
The President said he was overwhelmed by the large turn out both in the streets and the campaign rally venue.
He said: “I have not in recent times seen the sea of human heads I have seen here today in Kano. In all my campaign tours to various states of the federation I have never seen a huge crowd of commoners who trooped out to welcome me and my campaign team wherever I go, and it is a clear indication that the era of politics of tribalism religious vendetta is over.”
The President noted that he was encouraged by the support received from PDP supporters in Kano, pointing out that “it is a testimony Kano is returning to PDP in the next election.”
