Ogbulafor drums support for Jonathan, urges

BY HENRY UMORU
ABUJA — Former chairman of Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Vincent Eze Ogbulafor, has called on all PDP members who lost at the recent primaries of the party to be good party men and join the campaign of President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure total victory during the April polls.

Prince Ogbulafor’s comments, his first since leaving office as national chairman of the party, noted that the way President Jonathan had been piloting the affairs of the country had been very impressive.

“As President Jonathan flags off his campaign today, it is necessary that I congratulate him for his victory and for carrying everybody along.

“I wish also to congratulate the party’s delegates and the governors that voted whole-heartedly for the emergence of Dr Jonathan as the party’s flag-bearer. I wish to call on all the presidential aspirants of the party to join President Jonathan in the campaign to ensure victory at the April polls,” he said.

Prince Ogbulafor noted that “as a true party man, this is my plea to all members of PDP and all Nigerians to join hands with the National Working Committee, NWC, and ensure victory for all.

“When I was the national chairman of the party, I made one prediction and I pray and still maintain that God will bring it to pass.”

He vouched that apart from meaning well for the country, President Jonathan will run an “all inclusive administration.
“The PDP has an internal mechanism for resolving crisis and I want to advise those that are aggrieved to resort to peace.”
