Enyimba win

Enyimba Football club of Aba moved closer to reclaiming the national league title yesterday when they humbled visiting Niger Tornadoes of Minna 3-0 at the Enyimba International stadium, Aba.

The Aba Elephants took the lead in the 4th minute when a Daddy Bazuaye free kick was headed home by Niger Tornadoes defender, Kabiru Ibrahim for an own goal.

Bazuaye made it two for Enyimba in the 44th from the penalty spot after a Tornadoes defender brought down Kalu Uche in the vital area.

On resumption, Enyimba continued from where they stopped as Uche Kalu made it three in the 51st minute.
Tornadoes players reacted spiritedly as Salami Eugene reduced the tally with a strike that made it 3-1 in the 55th minute to end the tie 3-1 in favour of the Peoples Elephants.

Meanwhile, Kano Pillars pounded visiting Warri Wolves 4-0 with a brace from Gambo Mohammed  29th and 83rd minutes, Moses Ogaga 4th minute and Solomon Okpakor 79th minute.

Kaduna United were also on the winning path as they pipped Heartland of Owerri 3-2 in a keenly contested match, Sunday.
