If events in the last seven days around Aso Rock, Nigeria’s seat of power, are anything to go by then one may be right to say that political warring factions in the corridors of power may have laid down their political arms, as unrepentant loyal incumbent Vice President Goodluck Jonathan becomes more assertive in the performance of the functions of Nigeria’s number one citizen on behalf of his boss, President Umaru Yar’Adua.

It’s the beginning of 2010 and it is really important to set aside a moment of true reflection. You cannot decide on where you are going if you are ignorant of where you are coming from. This is the time to look back at 2009 and determine what needs to stay in your life and what needs to go.
