The National Assembly has drawn the battle line with President Muhammadu Buhari as it, yesterday, charged him to address threats to the lives of the citizenry and the country’s democracy, failing which it would initiate constitutional actions against him.

ABUJA- A member of the House of Representatives, Muhammed Gudaji Kazaure, has raised an alarm over what he said is a plot to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.

The relationship between the legislature and the Executive hit the lowest point today with a stern warning by the National Assembly to the Presidency to stop the harassment and intimidation of its perceived opponents and persons with contrary opinions particularly the legislators and judiciary by the security agencies.

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has thrown his weight behind the return of the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, in the party’s forthcoming National Convention.

The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, on Tuesday, declined to compel the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and its Governor, Godwin Emefiele, to disclose how much that was expended on President Muhammadu Buhari’s medical treatment in the United Kingdom last year.
