THE founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, ABUAD, Aare Afe Babalola, yesterday, urged the Federal Government to capture private universities in the Students Loan Scheme.

Aare Afe Babalola, founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, has received the “Outstanding Achiever of All Time” award from the Ekiti-Kete Coalition in the United States.

Afe Babalola stressed that age has nothing to do with the nation’s growth and development, warning the government not to use its policies to retard growth and pursuit of young citizens who will provide solutions to a myriad of challenges confronting the nation.

ELDER Statesman, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, yesterday, warned that Nigeria will remain perpetually poor if it fails to produce rather than consume more.

“Nigeria can be greater. With hard work, the way we are doing things here, with hard work, honesty and faith, Nigeria can be better and get out of doldrums. I believe that hardship breeds determination, determination breeds faith, and faith never fails.”

“This result constitutes a challenge to all Nigerians, particularly our universities. We are all aware of the economic doldrum that the country is battling with. I must stress that education is the panacea to all the ignorance, extremism, poverty, religious bigotry and tribalism among other problems, confronting the country.”

THE Founder and Chancellor of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, ABUAD, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, has been appointed the pioneer Chairman of the Board of Trustees, BoT, of the National Association of Artificial Intelligence Practitioners, NAAIP.

“Nigeria is one of the heaviest debtors in the world, I have written articles about it, let us investigate how we came to several trillions of dollars, what do we spend it on? I can assure you, these money are pocketed by those who said they collected it.”

The Founder, Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, (ABUAD) and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Chief Afe Babalola said members of the National Assembly should only be entitled to sitting allowance and not salaries.
