In addition, a member of the Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation and International Understanding, Mr. Mohammed Bashir said, ” The award is to encourage translators in building relationships in translation between Arabic and other languages and the different cultures.”

He expressed appreciation to the Garrison Commander and his team for their zeal to ensure an improved safety and security during Hajj operation, adding that welfare of state pilgrims remains a top priority of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad administration.

“Collection of any extra charges are not authorized. Any pilgrim asked to pay extra charges should forward name of person making the request and location, along with evidence of the request or payment as shown below.”

“The sudden hike in the fees intending pilgrims are expected to pay by NAHCON is unfair. You cannot impose such on them. They had already paid for ahead of time. If there is any changes, the burden should be on NAHCON and not on the intending pilgrims.”

“Anything short of this will see Nigeria travelling to Hajj 2024 with less than 10,000 pilgrims out of the allocated 95,000 slots with a potential risk of Nigerian pilgrims missing out on 2024 Hajj.”
