The Holy Quran sees human beings as vicegerents of God on the earth. Among these representatives are also those whom Allah has placed in various positions of authority or chosen to direct and lead the affairs of other humans. This is in recognition of the fact that every human being needs a unifying and driving force for success which is placed on the shoulders of the leaders among them.

The recent concluded Qur’anic Recitation Competition held at Auchi, a muslim growing cosmopolitan town in Edo State, played host to the Muslim Ummah during the Quranic recitation competition which attracted varied levels of people with over thirty states of the federation and also two hundred and fifty-one (251) young males and females Muslim youngsters that competed in the recitation of the Holy Qur’an.

The indispensability of leadership and followership in nation building is not in doubt. In Islam, there are models of good leadership. The Messengers of Allah are good examples, then Seal of Prophethood is another shining testimony while taking into cognizance the caliphs and their piuos followers. Again, every Muslim remains guided by the acts and practice of the Prophet through the hadiths.

The Prophets and Messengers of Allah are at the frontline. What distinguished the Egyptian, Roman and Persian civilisations if not wisdom, intelligence and skill? Look at what scientists have accomplished to make life better for us.

ISLAMIC Cleric, Sheikh Al-Imran Eleha has urged Muslims to continue to offer prayers for the peace and development of the country particularly during the forthcoming general elections.
Eleha gave this charge during a Special Prayer for the Nation organised by leading Islamic Organisation in the country, Nasrul-Lahi-il-Fatih Society of Nigeria, NASFAT, held at Mowe, Ogun State.
Delivering a lecture at the event, Elaha tasked the Lagos State governorship running mates under the platform of the two major parties in the State, People’s Democaractic Party, PDP, Alhaja Olayinka AbdulKereem and All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule who were present at the occasion to be good ambassadors of Islam and Nasfat during and after the elections, adding that as leaders, they would be responsible for any act of violence carried out by their supporters.
Earlier, the President of the society Engr. Kamil Bolarinwa in his keynote address emphasised the potency of prayer as an indispensable factor in the life of every Muslim. “It is incumbent on us to beseech Allah for this nation for a peaceful general elections. We will offer prayers for all the organs of INEC, the security agencies, the politicians and all Nigerians. Islam enjoins Muslims to call on Allah in prayer and put their trust in Him,” Bolarinwa said.
He also urged parents to guide their children and wards against thuggery and violence.

The Emir of Kano, His royal Highness, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has urged Muslims to preach Islam in the correct manners and reflect its true teachings in their lives.

The Prophet said, “Allah created Adam in his image, sixty cubits (about 30 meters) in height. When He created him, He said (to him), ‘Go and greet that group of angels sitting there, and listen what they will say in reply to you, for that will be your greeting and the greeting of your offspring.’ Adam (went and) said, ‘As-Salamu alaikum (Peace be upon you).’

Our children are our future. When you properly invest in them you invest in your future. Some people want to run but they have tied their feet.

You want to be happy in future when you can no longer do as you do now but you do not give your children religious and moral education, and everybody knows our education already lacks value. You reap what you sow. When you laugh the world laughs with you but when you cry you cry alone.

The greatest instrument that Muslims could use to solve their varying problems is Aqidat Sahihah. It means creed, doctrine, faith, and all that a person believes for sure and adopts as a religion, whether evil or good, valid or corrupt. While Sahihah means sound or true. Therefore, Aqidat Sahihah refers to the true Aqidah revealed in the Qur’an and illustrated by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
