Amaka Igwe remembered: Silence enveloped the expansive Expo hall of Eko and Suites’, Lagos when Amaka Igwe, who died last year was honoured with ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award . The award was presented by none other than Nollywood veteran actor-turned-politician, Richard Mofe-Damijo, who saluted the late film maker for her outstanding contribution to the industry, while also expressing his gratitude to her for giving him the opportunity to star in her hit TV series, ‘Checkmate’.
