Generation X (2)
The potential of any living being is proportionate to the belief system that it holds! That potential is a dormant force waiting for activation for good or evil. Inside everyone is a saint or a sinner; our core belief system determines the manifestation of that potential.

The sight of houses being swept away into the sea kept playing over and over on the television over the weekend. The biggest earthquake in recent memory had just occurred in Japan and the disaster I was watching on television was the Tsunami that followed shortly after. The year 2011 is barely three months old and this is the second, if not third major earthquake but unlike the one in New Zealand; this one packed a knockout punch of a raging Tsunami.
Damned; save for grace
Grace in my own understanding is an exemption from natural law and consequence. Grace enables a suspension of punishment and retribution and it is a gift from God that makes a life exceptional where it is abundantly available and utilised. It is easy to confuse mercy with grace as they are very similar; grace is the more encompassing of the two since its wheels are often times turned by mercy. Grace can bring dividends of favour, exceptional benevolence and turn situations round.
Damned if you don’t
When I decided to write down this tale, my motive was to educate my future grandchildren or others who will see my memoirs and be warned about rape and other crimes that befall women. The young lady who was raped had been telling me and a few other friends about her ordeal.
Damned if you do
It’s a big party, a rich man’s father is being buried somewhere in the eastern part of Nigeria, no expense is spared and all are invited. Someone invites a student from one of the universities nearby and she turns up with a retinue of 20 others who want to eat for free and possibly get some take-away packs to take back to school. Nothing unusual, students even in my days never had enough and if good food was going for free they were bound to turn up invited or otherwise.
