Itsekiri Progressive Union, IPU, a socio- political group in Delta State, has said it will support any credible candidate with Itsekiri interest at heart in the forthcoming elections.

IPU made this known yesterday in Warri through its coordinator, Elder David Olowo, after an emergency session of the group.

According to Olowo, “We are conversant with the challenges at the grassroots and as such we will queue behind only candidates that have our interest at heart.

“The entire itsekiri nation is in a bad shape; imagine the poor state of Warri urban   and the standard of Warri Township Stadium.

“We need an upgraded city with standard stadium and a federal polytechnic and a university, “ he added .
