Nigeria, France explores art and culture to boost economy

The two government of France and Nigeria will engage its professionals in the art sector in a creative and cultural exchange programme. This is designed as part of its diplomatic tie to attract investment in Nigeria, boost vibrant tourism and enhance economy.

The programme, under the auspice of Nigerian Embassy in France is themed, “The Nigerian Creative Arts Exchange” (NCAE): a festival of art, cuisine, fashion, music and film. It is scheduled to hold from May 18 to 19 at Le Pavilion Dauphine in Paris.

In a press release to the media, Nigerian Cultural Attache to its Embassy in France stated, “The festival is a celebration of the best of Nigeria’s cultural diversity in art, cuisine, fashion, film, & music. Beyond a mere cultural exhibition, NCAE seeks to use this platform to attract foreign investment as well as tourist to experience Nigeria in all its glory. In the 2-day cultural expo, Nigeria’s creative luminaries will present Nigerian culture in all its beauty showcasing her unique achievements and rich potentials.”

Continuing, “This groundbreaking cultural exchange platform is a concept of the Embassy of Nigeria in France and will present a strong experiential means to push the boundaries of traditional economic activities via culture and education as well as promote socio-cultural cooperation between both countries,” the statement added.
