Access woos investors with two investment windows

Access Investment and Securities Ltd, a subsidiary of Access Bank, has opened two investment windows to provide investors in the Nigerian capital market with quality returns. Mr Winston Osuchukwu, the company’’s Managing Director, said the “instruments present a unique and highly rewarding investment opportunity to investors to set their money working efficiently and effectively independent of them”.

The investment instruments offer of 10 million units each at N1 per unit to the public are Access Balanced Fund and Access Fixed Income Fund.

The two offers approved by regulatory requirements stipulate a minimum subscription amount for either of the offers at N50,000 for 50,000 units and additional subscriptions in multiples of 100 units. Osuchukwu said Access Fixed Income Fund was created and structured with the ultimate goal of achieving long-term returns that were uncorrelated with the Nigerian equities market.

He said this was achievable by investing in Federal Government bonds, money market securities and cash that have been approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria for the investors.

“Similarly, investors in the Access Balanced Fund can buy single product that will automatically rotate their investment between equities, bonds, money market securities and cash.

This is based on a thoroughly tested quantitative model that gives the investors the best upside potential while managing the downside risk,” he said.

Osuchukwu said the funds would diversify investors’’ portfolio and provide a consistent stream of income, given their highly diversified approach and feature. He said investors in Access Fixed Income Fund would enjoy regular coupon payment, potential capital gains on their investments, interest payment on intermediate coupon and interest payment on the principal invested.
