IT was a day of tributes, for the late Olorogun Michael Onajirhevbe Ibru as his final funeral rites which began Tuesday, with a service of songs, continued yesterday, with a commendation service at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos.

Olorogun Ibru died on September 6, 2016, aged 86, after a protracted illness in Florida, in the United States of America.
Following a session of hymns rendition, prayers and Bible readings, the officiating priest, The Most Revd. Dr. Adebola Ademowo opened the tribute, describing the deceased as “a quintessential personality and a symbol of unity in Ibru’s family”, adding that “he was also an exemplary nationalist and foremost philanthropist.”
