PATANI—Movement for Democratic Equity, MDE, has commended the ingenuity of the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for embarking on the Uduophori/Patani road project Phase I  in spite of the harsh economic reality.

In a statement, National Coordinator of the group, Evang. Josiah Mashomi said: “Okowa is the messaiah of our time, a detribalized Deltan and a man with strong will with overall prosperity of all Deltans at heart irrespective of tribe, religion and political affiliations.”

Mashomi stressed that what successive governments could not do in decades even with abundant resources had been completed in his one year in office with lean resources.

The cleric maintained that the importance of the road project to the people which has been abandoned by successive governments could never be over-emphasized.

He called on all sons and daughters of the community to give a rousing welcome to Governor Okowa and his entourage during the commissioning next week.
