Three poles deep water pits, alleged cause of flooding in Ikot Akpan Abia community

ABAKALIKI—RESIDENTS of Ebonyi state have continued to lament following last weekend’s heavy downpour in the State as the management of a fish farm in Abakaliki, the state capital yesterday said it lost over 4,000 fishes resulting from the natural disaster.
Conducting Vanguard around the Oluchika Nigeria Limited Fish Farm in Abakaliki, the Manager, Mr. Onwe David said rain wreaked havoc in the farm.
Also, a farmer, Paul Nwogiji said the flood damaged his crops after he had borrowed a huge amount of money to invest.
According to the Manager of the fish farm, “We lost over 4000 fishes to the flood.The damage is so much that we are feeling very terrible.”
