A former Vicar of All Saints Anglican Church, Surulere, Lagos, Levi Opara, says he had forgiven those who offended him in the church.
Opara, who made the statement at the reconciliation service presided over by Archbishop Adebayo Akande, urged the church members to forgive anybody who may have offended them in any form.
He said: “To err is human and divine to forgive; we should all forgive those who have offended us in different forms. If we are able to do that, we would recover our lost glory from the Lord.
“There was crisis in the church before this service, but it has been resolved and I have let go of all that transpired while I was presiding over the church.”
The service was attended by members and those who had left the church for one reason or the other. Sir Christopher Obadike, the People’s Warden of the church, said the purpose of the service was to reunite members.
