Akure—NO fewer than four gunmen, weekend, reportedly abducted the Executive Secretary of Cocoa Association of Nigeria, CAN, Mr. Michael Segun Adewunmi, in Akure, Ondo State capital.

Adewunmi was abducted along Akinjo Junction, Oshokoti, in Akure metropolis.

He was said to have been blocked with another car while heading home in his black Toyota Lexus SUV 300.

The victim was asked to alight from his car and driven away in the kidnappers’ car.

His car was reportedly abandoned at the scene of the incident, while the kidnappers went away with some of his belongings, including i-PAD and mobile phone.

Meanwhile, the victim’s vehicle, marked ONDO ANG 149AA, had been recovered and parked at Ijapo Police Station.

It was learned that when the abductors were forcing the victim into their vehicle, one of his mobile phones fell.

The phone was later picked up by a man around Celestial Church of Christ, Olu Foam area.

It has been handed over to the police.

The wife reportedly raised alarm when her husband failed to return home after office hours.

Several calls she put to her husband’s mobile phone failed to connect.

Vanguard gathered that the abductors have not made contact with the family of the victim.
