UNIJOS marks 40th anniversary with school children

Jos—Despite the labour crises in Plateau State,  children from schools in Jos, the state capital Wednesday celebrated their Day with fanfare.

They gathered at the Main campus of the University of Jos to mark the Children’s Day organized by the institution as part of its “give-back to the community” programme to commemorate its 40th anniversary.

The children who organised variety of activities including march past, traditional dances, fashion parade, poetry, essay and drama among others also won trophies and other prizes for themselves.

Speaking on the occasion, the institution’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Theresa Mmadu said celebrating the Day with the children was a significant achievement.
